Stella’s One Month Old!

Can you tell how behind I am?  Stella is really 9 weeks old!  Here’s her one month report anyway:

Stella is such a good baby!  She is more alert than ever now!  She loves for people to talk to her and she smiles all the time.  She adores her brothers and sisters!

Stella is a happy baby and although she hasn’t laughed at us while awake, we catch her laughing in her sleep all the time!  Her hair is getting curlier and at our last midwife check up she weighed in at 12 pounds 8 oz.

She has started telling us she’s “good”  and she seems to be a night person.  She really gets stirred up talking before bed.  She loves to snuggle with her mommy in bed in the morning, and her mommy loves it too!  We thank God for our precious little Stella and cant wait to see what a fine lady she will one day be.

Stella’s One Week Pictures

Its hard to believe how fast our little “Stella Bella” has grown!  She is now 7 weeks old!  These pictures are a flashback when she was only a week old.  I still feel like she is tiny, but I forgot just how small she was until I was looking through pictures.  She is the best baby!  Every one asks “So this is the Last one right?”  I always say that Stella has been the easiest baby yet, so why stop now!

At one week old she only nursed 2 times in the night.  Every one always comments on how alert she is.  She always seems to have her eyes open for pictures and she loves to stare and smile at her brothers and sisters.  Apparently the “new” has already worn off of Stella, because her brothers and sisters are already talking about the “next” baby!

Baby Week!

Its here!  A week an a half of Birth Stories!  I just love reading birth stories, and when we had a TV, I enjoyed watching Birth Stories on TLC!  Lets just say I love all things baby,  I even had several subscriptions to baby and parenting magazines years before we had any children. I have since come to my senses about the magazines and do not accept their worldly philosophies!  The only training manual you really need is a good King James Bible.  Of course I always anxiously await each new edition of the Above Rubies Magazine.  You can start your FREE subscription here.

Announcing Our Newest Blessing…

Why we chose a Home Birth Part 1

Why we chose a Home Birth Part 2

We are trusting God for our Life, for our Provisions, and for our Blessings (children)!  He always Preserves and He always Provides. We are looking forward to many more children, His number and His timing!  God always knows best!

baby in womb

Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate. Psalm 127:4-5

And… Just in case you are wondering, baby #6 hasn’t arrived yet!  Yes, my due date was yesterday.  Yes, I’m tired, yes, I’m ready to hold this little one in my arms.  Apparently God is still working on my patience…I hope I’m a fast learner! :)

God Said…

God said…Will you wait for the one I have planned for you?

I said yes, and on March 16th 2002, I married my soul-mate.

God said…Will you go where I send you?

We said yes, and committed to move to another State, until God said stay where you are.

God said…will you commit your life to preaching my Word?

We said yes, and Don surrendered to preach.

God said…Will you still follow me in hard times?

We said yes, and He carried us through the valleys of family troubles, death, calamity and uncertainty.

God said…Will you still refuse a child?

We said no, and he gave us Lee in 2005, Grady in 2007, and Jo Anna in 2009.

God said…will you go where I send you, and leave when I say you are done?

We said yes.  Don pastored Glass Memorial Baptist Church for 5 years, and we left when He said we were done.

God said…will you trust me to help you teach your children?

We said yes, and there began our homeschooling journey.

We planned our first 3 babies according to our plans…

God said…will you take what blessings I will give you, children included?

We said, yes Lord, we trust you to be the author of life and the planner of our family.  God gave us Eli in 2010 and Clara in 2012 and a new blessing due in the fall of 2013.

Do we always say yes to the Lord’s promptings?  No, and we have seen the fruit of it.  We have found it much easier to just say “yes, Lord” and let Him handle the rest.   We have followed God from the biggest things to the littlest and we have always tried to seek His will before our own.  Our God is not complacent, He wants to be active in every simple aspect of our life.  He takes joy in His children who walk in His steps.  We pray daily that we will walk in the paths He has ordained for us, and that we will not take a step without His guidance.

We live with the finish line in mind.

One day we will hear God say…those wondrous words…

Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

Verse of the Day
“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.” — 1 John 5:14-15 Listen to chapter Public Domain. Powered by
