Jo Anna is 5!
Jo Anna at 5 years (above) and 4 months (below)
It is very hard to believe that our 1st baby girl is already 5 years old! She is such a good little and big sister and she loves to help with Stella. She is already finished with all her preschool workbooks this year and she enjoys learning. I just know she is going to fly through kindergarten next year and be reading before we know it! She loves being with her daddy and enjoys whatever they are doing. Shop work or tractors, she loves it all!
So it is no surprise that Jo Anna chose a “Pink” John Deere party! To get ready for it we purchased everything we could find that was pink and green! The boys made Yellow and Green tie-dye shirts and the girls made Pink and Green ones.
The birthday girl ALWAYS gets flowers on her birthday from her Daddy and Momma!

A few of our friends have what they call “Milestone” parties. This is when you celebrate BIG for certain years, and the other birthdays are celebrated with only family. We loved this idea, and we adopted it into our Birthday routine! This year was Jo Anna’s Milestone (5) party, so we invited over all our homeschooling friends!
We had a BBQ with hot dogs and burgers and enjoyed fellowship with our friends!
I didn’t have a wide enough lens to take a picture of everyone! We need a few more couches when our friends come for a visit!
Eli and Mary Claire are a mess! They are going to get into a lot of trouble together one day!
Dress up fun while the boys were playing outside.
We hope you had a wonderful birthday Jo Anna! We are so blessed God has entrusted you to us!
Stella the Party Girl
We are so blessed God led our family to Tyler Baptist Church! Don has been the pastor there for almost 3 years now, and we love our church family! Recently they threw a shower for our little Stella, followed by a fellowship meal. These are a few pictures from the afternoon…
Stella is our “Best” gift!
Proud Daddy holding his littlest girl.
I think Stella racked up! Thanks again to the Ladies at Tyler Baptist Church for the lovely shower!

Happy Birthday To…me!
July 11th marked a big one for me…the big thirty! I’ll have to say age really just is a number for me, at least 30 is, I may reconsider when I hit other milestones! The day before my birthday Don quit early and picked up all the kids except the napping baby. I should have known something was up! I was instructed to lay down and take a nap. This is a rare happening in the Tims’ home, but was a very welcome guest to a pregnant momma of 5! Not long after I got up the doorbell rang and in walked Lee with a big birthday balloon and daddy carrying a large basket flowers. Everyone knows sunflowers are my favorite! They also brought chicken from KFC so I wouldn’t have to cook supper. What a treat! I am truly blessed to have such a thoughtful husband!
The next morning I was bombarded with cards! Everyone had picked out and decorated their own card. Lee picked a dog one, because he couldn’t find a horse, Grady picked a lovely decorated card with a cupcake and flowers on it, Jo Anna picked a pink one with a huge pink flower and a bouncing Aspirin inside it, and Eli picked one with, of course, a monkey on it! After we all got ready we headed out for a day of flea marketing, one of my favorite things to do. I found a few bargains and we ate fish for lunch. After a long hot afternoon we headed to mom and dad’s house and they carried us out to eat for my birthday. I chose Mexican food, and let it slip in conversation about it being my birthday. I glanced quickly at the waitress who was already smiling, and I said “No, it’s not!!!!” She said she would take care of it and finished taking our order. Thankfully the restaurant wasn’t crowded when they came out singing with a large sombrero and smeared cool whip on my face! The kids were in shock, they had never seen anything like that before, it made a great memory. There was a time that I would have been mortified, but after 5 kids, not much embarrasses me anymore!
After that was cake and ice cream at Nanna’s and Pappa’s house. The kids did a great job picking out the cake, it was my favorite color. They are so thoughtful like their daddy, I just know they will be awesome husbands and wives one day!
Happy 1st Birthday Clara!
Today, Clara Abigail, you are 1 year old! My how much you have changed in a year! You were our littlest baby at 5lbs 15oz and 18 inches long. You were born a month early due to my water breaking, but you were just fine. You are still a petite little girl and such a cuddly baby. You still prefer momma since you are nursing, but you love for anyone to hold you especially daddy or Lee.
Your favorite things are kittens and babies! Whenever you see a baby or a baby doll you blow them kisses and want to hold them. Kittens are the same, you just squeal when you get to hold them. You are crawling and rolling everywhere and you love to play in the floor beside the big kids. You don’t have a favorite food, you seem to like everything! Although I think birthday cake might be the best!
You have quite a large vocabulary but your favorite words are still momma, dada, no and uh-oh. You bring such joy to our family. Your family loves you so much and feel so blessed that God would allow us to look after you, for Him. We pray for many more birthdays, that you always feel love, that you are saved at a young age, and that you follow the Lord all your life. Grow in grace, little Clara…you are loved.
