Homemade Jewelry Cleaner
What you need:
- 1 Tbsp. Salt
- 1 Tbsp. Baking Soda
- 1 Tbsp. Dish Soap
- 1 Cup Water
- Aluminum Foil
- Small Bowl (we used a regular cereal bowl)
- Heat your water in the microwave for 1-2 minutes.
- While it’s heating up, cut your foil to fit roughly into the bottom of your bowl.
- Pour the water into the bowl and add the rest of your ingredients. Give it a stir.
- Drop in your rings and other jewelry and let them sit for 5-10 minutes.
- When the time is up, rinse them in cool water and dry with a soft cloth. I gave mine a little srcub with the old jewlery cleaner brush, but you are supposed to get the same results with no scrubbing
Supposedly this works well for gold-filled, brass, german (nickel) silver, and sterling silver.
If you are a mom…or wear jewelry…this is a must have recipe. You probably have all the ingredients you need already, and it works great. I found this on food.com just in time. I ran out of my store-bought jewelry cleaner a couple of days ago!!!
