The Best Chocolate Pie You’ll Ever Eat


It’s been a long time since I have posted any recipe’s…so here you go!  This recipe was given to me by a nearly ninety year old woman over 10 years ago, so you know it’s good!  I used a pre-made store bought pie crust for this one, but you can sure make your own from scratch if you like!


  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp cocoa
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 stick of oleo (sub butter)


  1. Separate eggs and reserve the whites for later.
  2. Mix all ingredients together and put in a double-boiler.
  3. Cook on medium heat until thick (keep it stirred so it dosen’t scorch)
  4. Pour into pie shells.
  5. Beat your egg whites (it wont hurt to have a few extra) with 2 tbsp sugar until stiff peaks form.
  6. Put topping on pies and place in a 350 degree oven until top is browned.
  7. After pies have cooled, put them in the fridge so they will set up faster.

The quicker they set up, the quicker you can eat!!!
