Homeschool Day at the Capitol

Last week we enjoyed a little field trip to our State Capitol with a few of our friends The Mashburns and The Witchers.  We were joined with over 750 other homeschoolers from Arkansas.  We began our day bringing deserts to our Representative and our Senator and took in a tour of the grounds.  The kids even met with our Senator in his office.  Lee was really impressed until we informed him that Mr.  Burnett was a democrat. He was somewhat let down at his findings!  If you ever get a chance to visit your State Capitol, we highly recommend it.  It belongs to the tax payer…it is our building!  They have recently took on restoring the building to what it looked like a century ago and they have done a great job.  The kids were impressed with all the marble and Lee has decided that politics could be in his future. The Lord knows this country sure needs a few good men!  A big thanks goes out to Arkansas Education Alliance for putting on this shindig!

Verse of the Day
“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.” — 1 John 5:14-15 Listen to chapter Public Domain. Powered by
