Shaggy Raggy Wreath (It’s a Girl)

Our latest baby girl was born last April, but I wanted to share a neat idea for a Welcome BABY wreath.  It turned our really cute.  I used ribbons and tulle that were on some of her baby shower gifts and miscellaneous coordinating scraps.  You can alter this color scheme for holidays or an ITS A BOY wreath.  They are cute hung in the nursery after using them on your front door.

Items needed:

  • Wire Baby Hanger
  • About 1/2 yard of misc. fabric or dive into your scrap stash
  • fabric scissor
  • Tulle and ribbon

What to do:

  1. Bend your wire hanger into a circle shape. You could use pliers, but I just used my mommy muscles.
  2. Cut fabric, tulle and ribbon into 6 inch long strips.
  3. Tie strips around hanger and then slide all the strips to one side.

4.  After the wreath is good and full tie your bow around the top and bend the hangar hook so it will easily hang on a nail.

It took about 30 minutes start to finish and it is totally worth it.  I am looking forward to making more!
