Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

...strait is the gate, and
narrow is the way, which
leadeth unto life, and few
there be that find it.

Our decision to home school didn't appear to be an easy one at first. We have always been
disappointed in the Public Education System as a whole and our views and morals differ greatly from the secular views and liberal thinking that comes out of our P.E.S. Textbooks. At first we thought we would go ahead and send our children to public school, because we do have some good ones in the area. In the summer months we would educate them with material we saw fit, and
try to undo some of the brainwashing they had received. This wasn't good enough for God! He began dealing with our hearts. We started researching and praying. This was a daunting task. We didn't know any home school families and we were often struck by fear and doubt. But God Provides...
We are still beginners and learning as we go, But we have help in Christ Jesus! He would not have us to fail! It has been a great burden relieved to know that we will have a better hand in our children's raising, after all parents do know better that peers...right!!!
We were excited to find this course! It is taught and designed by Angie Adams. It is fairly easy to learn. Even kids can watch the DVD and immitate (Our 4 year old does!) You learn only Hymns and learn one a week. She teaches the chording method which is the easiest to learn. There are 64 songs total.

A Must have for Record Keeping...
The Numbers
Homeschooling is the single fastest growing educational trend in the United States. Dr. Bryan Ray, a leading homeschool researcher, estimates that homeschooling has increased 15% per year over the last several years.
There are between 2.5 and 4 million homeschoolers nationwide.
Community Service
Seventy-one percent of homeschool graduates participate in ongoing community service activities, including politics, compared to 37% of adults in similar ages.
Eighty-eight percent of HS graduates are members of organizations (community groups, church, or professional organizations) compared to 50% of U.S. adults.
Significantly, 76% of homeschool graduates voted in a national or state election within the past 5 years, compared to 29 percent of similar U.S. adults.
How Social!
There is ample research that indicates that because home schooled students are exposed to a wider variety of people and situations, they learn to get along with a variety of people, making them socially mature and better able to adjust to new situations.
Financial Burdens?
Families engaged in home-based education are not dependent on public, tax-funded resources for their children’s education.
The finances associated with their homeschooling likely represent over $16 billion that American taxpayers do not have to spend since these children are not in public schools.
Homeschoolers are not exempt form paying for public education, even though their children do not participate. Can we get a tax credit or something????? yeah right!!
Academics
95% of homeschoolers have an adequate knowledge of politics and government, compared to 65% of other US citizens.
The home-educated typically score 15 to 30 percentile points above public-school students on standardized academic achievement tests. (The public school average is the 50th percentile; scores range from 1 to 99.)
Homeschool students score above average on achievement tests regardless of their parents’ level of formal education or their family’s household income.
Home-educated students typically score above average on the SAT and ACT tests that colleges consider for admissions.
